Precocious Karma™ and her transitional stuffed animal, Chaos™ the 'Phant make their journey to America. Karma's perspective and tenacious personality provide a unique and amusing comparison of Eastern and Western cultures. Her mystified and perplexed parents learn about the East through Karma's laughter, tantrums and bewilderment in experiencing the West. Together they learn that adoption is a shared experience, one of mutual give and take, as they take their first steps toward becoming a family.

Main Characters:

Karma: An internationally adopted Korean girl who is inquisitive, intelligent, and intuitive searching for her identity by inquiring within "Who Am I?" Karma continuously discovers hidden aspects of life by innocently observing the differences in her surroundings. She is astutely aware of her environment yet perplexed and confused about what her place is in the world. Karma's best friend is Chaos the 'Phant who is never far from her and provides comedic relief, compassion and wisdom.

Chaos: An elephant that is a transitional stuffed animal that provides Karma wisdom through 'chaos,' comedic relief through his curiosity, and compassion through translation of words and symbols. Chaos is the metaphoric character that illustrates the yin and the yang of life through "chaos" and guides Karma in her journey to embrace being adopted while adopting the world around her.




The series capitalizes on adoption as a prefacing circumstance that grows into an ongoing inquiry of "Who Am I?" Chaos the 'Phant is Karma's transitional stuffed animal and muse providing wisdom through chaos. Through Karma's journey to America, her global friendships and encounters, the series unravels "Who Am I?" as Karma™ discovers that it is not always about Who, What, or When she discovers "Who Am I?" rather, HOW she discovers "Who Am I?"
